Our Pico charging station has a 32 × 32 pixel screen that can display GIF animations.
In the smart-me web portal, you will find several preset GIFs, but you can also upload your own files to customize your charging station even further.
What is Piskelapp.com?
Piskel is a free, web-based drawing program that makes it easy to create pixel art and animated GIFs. It runs directly in your browser, without installation, and offers a real-time preview where animations can be played back immediately. In addition to numerous drawing tools such as brushes, fill tools, shapes, and symmetry mode, you can design your own pixel images frame by frame. Finished animations can be exported as GIFs, sprite sheets, or individual PNG files.
Open piskelapp.com and click on “Create Sprite” in the top right corner.
You will find the settings on the right – set the size to 32 × 32 pixels.
Select the desired drawing tool and a color on the left.
Draw your desired motif in the work area.
(If you only want a static motif, you can export it as a PNG now.)
For an animation, add a new frame and draw the desired movement.
Export your work as a GIF.
(Important: The background must be black; transparent backgrounds are not allowed.)
Upload the GIF file to the smart-me web portal.
Upload a GIF using “Import” and adjust it to 32 × 32 pixels. You can then export it as a GIF again and upload it to your Pico charging station in the smart-me web portal.
