Description of the load management solution in the metering concept without ASC or with 3rd-party provider ASC
The load management of the Pico charging station is based on the smart-me meter hardware. This hardware can be used directly as reference points.
If a third-party meter installation is already in place, load management for Pico can also be solved using third-party software instead of smart-me multi-level load management, further information on which can be found here under "Extended information".
Advantages of smart-me load management:
No additional measurement hardware required
Same manufacturer of measurement hardware and charging station: top compatibility and reliability
Multi-stage dynamically controlled load management: Minimised power losses and high availability
Centrally controlled load shedding for the entire system
Area- or house-optimised solar optimisation function
Charging group prioritisation and passive load peak minimisation
Functionally required hardware points for holistic load management in the ASC with smart-me hardware (red arrows):
2x house meter (Telstar 80A or Telstar CT)
- solar optimisation point and necessary for capacity distribution within the area.Optional 2x e-mobility meter (Telstar 80A or Telstar CT)
- Reference if several charging groups are connected to one outlet and share the capacity
- Billing measurement for losses and standby energy
- Other consumers that are not Pico charging stations can also be taken into account, e.g. garage lighting, sockets, etc.Optional 1x area meter (Telstar 80A or Telstar CT)
- This point can be formed virtually from the two house meters. The prerequisite is that 100% of the loads in the area are measured by the house meters.

Accounting for e-mobility in an ASC
Billing can be carried out in different ways with their specific advantages and disadvantages:
Billing in the standard or multi-tariff system in the ASC with smart-me Billing separately or together with the flat consumption.
Billing in the uniform tariff system using the post-payment method and the eCarUp backend.
Billing in the standard tariff system using highly automated credit card billing via the eCarUp backend.
